IOREN/ACSI Member Jean-Christophe Huet’s Madagascar Project

IOREN and the Association of Christian Schools International are working in partnership to support and strengthen Christian schools throughout the Indian Ocean Region. Recently Jean-Christophe Huet completed a trip to Madagascar where he met with evangelical church leaders to plan a two year strategy to:

  1. Conduct a national survey to determine the number, nature and whereabouts of all the evangelical Christian schools in Madagascar
  2. Plan a Madagascan evangelical Christian conference for December 2016
  3. Plan a protestant and evangelical Round Table for November 2017 to include IOREN/ACSI keynote speakers and workshops on developing strategies based on the national survey and conference outcomes.

IMPROVING THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN THE INDIAN OCEAN REGION: IOREN IN DISCUSSIONS WITH MOERK WATER

Members of IOREN in Australia recently met with Martin Brezger from MOERK WATER to discuss possible way of working together to strengthen communities in the Indian Ocean region. While IOREN focuses on the welfare of the region through education, Moerk develops healthier communities through the provision of clean water supplies in similar parts of the world.
Discussions centred around common interests and a shared passion for building stronger communities in the Indian Ocean region.
IOREN welcomes Moerk as a possible partner and looks to the future for projects in the region that may complement each other.

120 international and Mauritian delegates meet for three days at the Sofitel L’Imperial Resort

Many major new projects generated by the conference

IOREN ‘E-Secretariat’ to be established to support on-going communication between delegates and interested people.
